Range Health Assessment Training – September 15, 2016 near Brooks, Alberta

The Foothills Restoration forum will be hosting range health assessment training for the Dry Mixedgrass natural subregion at the Antelope Creek Ranch near Brooks, Alberta.

The course offers field based training on subjects critical to pre-site assessments, reclamation design, and native grassland restoration. Topics include:

  • Common range plant identification
  • Use of soils and landscape mapping in relation to plant community guides and range health assessment
  • Classification of rangeland plant communities

We have decided to offer a second session on September 14 in addition to the session on the 15th. Online registration will not be available for the session on the 14th, but if you have not registered and still wish to attend the session on the 14th, please contact Donna Watt at corpirate@shaw.ca.
