Fall Information Session 2016 – Claresholm Community Centre

The Foothills Restoration Forum is pleased to present the 10th annual fall information session on Thursday, November 17th, 2016 at the Claresholm Community Centre in Claresholm, Alberta.

The theme of this year’s session is “Grasslands: Evolving Issues & Management”

The FRF annual information session gathers a variety of industry and grassland stakeholders to exchange current information on grassland restoration and conservation through ‘open mike’ project updates & mini presentations. Featured presentations on our DRAFT agenda are:

Ø Managing Industrial Footprint on the Hargrave Ranch– James Hargrave

Ø Principles & Strategies for Minimizing Surface Disturbance in Native Grasslands Including New AEP Guidelines – Craig DeMaere, Susan McGillivray and Peggy Warner

Ø The Biophysical Economics of Rangelands – Brent Smith

Ø Stewardship Initiatives by Grassland Stakeholders

The cost to attend the information session is $65.00 per person if registered prior to October 23rd, and $85.00 per person after October 23rd. Fees include our ‘traditional’ welcome cinnamon rolls, a catered lunch, and plenty of opportunity to visit and network. Doors open at 8 am with presentations from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.
